Dr. Mathurin Montlouis
Dr Montlouis Mathurin is among the minority of Physicians from his generation who have chosen to stay in Haiti to serve his fellow citizens in the public and private sectors.
Montlouis was born in Saint-Marc, in the Artibonite Valley, and has been a reliable resource for the Ministry of Health for more than two decades.
He was an Attending Physician then the Chief Medical Officer at the obstetrical department of the Hospital Chatuley in Leogane (Funded by Doctors without borders, Switzerland, between 2010 to 2015).
Dr Mathurin has also been providing compassionate obstetrical care at his private office in the capital Port-au-Prince for over two decades.
Dr Mathurin shares the vision for social equity and has worked tirelessly with his friends and colleagues living in Haiti and abroad to create FINACT Foundation with the goal to promote equity in access to education, healthcare and sustainable human development in remote communities in Haiti.
