Norbert Stimphil
Norbert Stimphil is a native of Latortue island in Northwest Haiti and one of the most experienced educators from Haiti. Norbert had worked for the Ministry of Education as the manager of projects funded by the World Bank (WB) and the Interamerican Development Bank (IDB) including PEQH (Pour Une Education de Qualité en Haiti), EPT (Education Pour Tous), FIA (Formation Initiale Accelerée des Enseignants).
Norbert was a member of the executive committee of the presidential commission called GTEF (Groupe de Travail sur l’Education et la Formation) that defined the 25-year strategic plan for education in Haiti in 2010 as well as the associated operational planning.
Norbert was the head of the intersectoral and partnership working group that developed the PSNAS (Politique et Strategies Nationales d’Alimentation Scolaire). He was the director of the main office of Catholic Education and participated in the development of the PECH (Project Educatif Catholique Haitien).
